Safe, simple and dismountable – those were the principles of the Warnemünde entrepreneur Hans Seehase. The versatile inventor had countless ideas patented. The most important of these included aircraft, aeroplanes and computers. From the mid-1930s Seehase worked on human-powered aircraft. In 1936 he tested the MD 2 in Berlin. “Springs into the air” achieved a respectable 90 metres. Yet Seehase was not granted any clearance for take-off for places with secure ground. The tests were of “no military importance.”
