Figure of Christ at rest
painted lime wood, 16th century, height: 80 cm
The martyred, tired and abandoned Christ is sitting on a hill/rock. The figure was originally located on the cover of the pulpit in the Neubrandenburg church of St. John. The wooden sculpture only has a few remnants of colour left.
